Augustine joined lifeways at the beginning of the 2025 field season upoon  completion of his undergraduate degree in Archaeology from the University of Calgary. During his undergraduate degree, he participated in the Nose Hill Field school, and the Mayan Archaeological Study Abroad Program. Augustine also attained a minor in Museum and Heritage Studies, working with the Nickel Galleries ancient numismatic collection for his practicum. Since joining Lifeways, Augustine has gained experience working in survey, excavation, monitoring, artifact analysis, and collections management across Alberta.
